Our Philosophy

The philosophy of the Vision University stems from the realization that today’s world is highly globalized and driven by science and technology—especially information technology. The competitiveness of the resulting hyper-capitalist world, while driving innovation, introduces lifestyle trends that are enormously challenging both for the human mentality and the sustaining environment.

While fundamental Science and arts continue to provide the basis for intellectual growth as reflected in academic structure of the University, much of the faculties and Programs are created with outstanding novelty to be particularly applicable in a rapidly changing world, while addressing the peculiar needs of the Nigerian society and the catchment area of the University. Consequently, the programs of the University shall emphasize human development towards growing innovation and entrepreneurship, environmental sustainability and societal stability by encouraging peaceful co-existence, justice, equity and fairness.

In fulfilling the quest for a beautiful stable world, the University shall aim to create excellent environment that shall stimulate imagination and self-realization. Learning is seen as an ingredient for extracting the inherent beauty of the natural environment and the human actions are to be geared towards conservation. The entire process is achieved through teaching, research and extension activities in well designed subject areas.

The philosophy of the Vision University is also to be a center of excellence for teaching, learning, research, and moral orientation that shall produce completely sound-nurtured men and women who are excellent in learning, possess necessary skills and knowledge; and are worthy in learning and character so as to be useful to themselves and to society. Graduates of the University shall be trained to succeed in whatever vocation they find themselves, as well as have the fear of God and show compassion to others. They shall also see themselves as truly worthy ambassadors of the University wherever they find themselves. Any Graduate of the University shall be of world class in his discipline and display adequate practical knowledge
